Where are you located?
Belted Cow Co. is headquartered in Cumberland Foreside, Maine just outside of Portland Maine. Everything happens at this location. You are welcome to stop by and shop at our warehouse store during our normal business hours.

We are open Monday- Thursday 9am- 5pm EST, Friday 9am-3pm EST
Where do you sell your products?
We sell our products through our amazing retail partners across the country as well as our online store. Contact us for a store location near you.
Do you have a product warranty?
All our products are guaranteed from manufacturers’ defects for a full year from the date of purchase. If you think you received a defective product, please contact us immediately by emailing customerservice@beltedcow.com or calling 207-846-3364
Returns & Exchanges
What is our return exchange policy?
Return & Exchange Policy
- Products purchased directly from the Belted Cow Company website or store may be returned for a refund or exchanged for a different product within 60 days with proof of purchase.
- Product purchased from one of our retailers should be brought back to the store where it was originally purchased per store policy.
- Products sent in for return or exchange must be unwashed, unworn and accompanied by all original tags, packing slip or sales receipt.
- All socks sales are final and cannot be returned or exchanged.
- Custom products are designed using your logo or artwork on ribbon, embroidery or embossing. We work closely with you to ensure the design, sizing and product selection meet your requirements. Due to the custom-made nature of these products, we are not able to exchange or provide credit for their return.
How do I do a return or exchange?
To initiate a return, you need your order number and shipping zip code. Your order number can be found in your order confirmation email.

How long will it take to receive my refund or exchange?
Please allow 2 weeks for a Return or Exchange to be processed.
I received a damaged, defective or incorrect item. What do I do?
In the event you think the wrong product was shipped or there is a manufacturing defect, please contact Belted Cow Customer Service within 7 business days of receiving your order at customerservice@beltedcow.com or 1-207-846-3364. We will work with you to correct your order as quickly as possible. Please understand, normal wear or damage due to misuse is not considered a manufacturing defect.
Ordering
How can I track my order?
Once your order ships from our facility, you will receive an email with tracking information to the email address you provided at check-out. Please note that this email can end up in your spam folder, so make sure to check that folder if you haven’t heard from us.
Can I change my order after it has been placed?
If your order has not been shipped and you would like to make a change, please contact us at customerservice@beltedcow.com or 207-846-3364. If possible, we will do our best to accommodate you.
Belt Questions
Are your belts washable?
You can spot clean the belts using dish soap and warm water.
Is the buckle brass?
Buckles on the Club Belts and Monterey Leather belts are made of solid cast brass. The rings on our D-Ring belts are nickel-plated stainless steel or solid brass depending on finish.
What type of leather do you use?
We use only full grain leather imported from Italy on all our products except the Folklore Distressed products which use a full grain domestic pull-up leather. Full grain leathers are from the strongest most durable part of the hide. Unlike corrected leathers, they exhibit more natural characteristics.
Are your belts made in the USA?
Yes. All Belted Cow belts are manufactured here in our great state of Maine.
Dog Collar Questions
Do your collars come in different widths for different sized dogs?
Yes! We have three different widths. 5/8”, 1” and 1.25”.
Are the collars washable?
Yes! You can toss the collars into the washing machine on delicate or you can hand wash them. Air dry only. DO NOT PUT IN DRYER.
Is the ring on the collar made of solid brass?
Yes! We use solid brass cast rings that will avoid corrosion and rust.
Is the trigger snap on the leash made of solid brass?
Yes! Our leads use a solid brass trigger snap that will avoid corrosion and rust.
What are Biothane® collars and leads made of?
BioThane® dog collars and leashes are made with PVC coated nylon webbing that is durable, waterproof and easy to clean.
Other Product Questions
What is the difference between a ribbon product and an embroidered product?
To create our ribbon products like our Club Belts, D-ring belts and pet products, we start by creating a thin ribbon with the design or custom artwork as part of the woven ribbon itself. The ribbon is then stitched onto the full length of the webbing.
For our embroidered products like our embroidered belts or key fobs we stitch (embroider) the design directly onto the webbing. For a belt, we stitch the design five times (5 embroideries) on the webbing.
Can I Personalize a Belted Cow Product?
You can only personalize Belted Cow hats with a tag line on the back. Some restrictions apply but there are no minimums. Please see the hat product pages for instructions.
How do I size a hat?
Our hats come in one size for adults with an adjustable hook & loop strap.
Can I wash my hat?
Spot cleaning is always best, if you are comfortable, you may machine wash your hat on delicate, cold water and hang to dry. Please make sure the hook & loop is closed first.

Do you offer wholesale pricing?
Belted Cow Company products can be found in casual and upscale clothing stores, pet boutiques, ship’s chandleries, on-line retailers, gift stores, and many other fine retail locations.
