Hopkins Fish (Blue) Leather Tab Belt
Eric Hopkins lives on an island off the coast of Maine and his famous artwork reflects the independent vibrancy of island life. Hopkins painted "Fish" in 1979 using Lobster Buoy paint on paper. This painting was created at the beginning of his transition between glass sculpture and painting. During this period he used bold simple imagery to contain and confirm vibrant patches of color.
